Convention Information
The Committee on Arrangements (“COA”) is a subcommittee of the Republican National Committee and is charged with all other tasks associated with the Convention not performed by the Host Committee. The primary functions of the COA include the aggrandizement of the Republican nominee for President, production and staging of the Convention hall, media arrangements, logistics, transportation planning, as well as coordination with the political campaign of the Republican nominee to the extent permitted by law.
The COA and the Host Committee are independent legal entities and there are no shared staffs, financial resources or policy controls. However, the Host Committee does have a legal contract with the Republican National Committee to fulfill certain obligations on behalf of the host city, including funding, transportation, leased facilities, security, housing, hotels and venues among other things.
